NRA Basic Pistol/NJ/Utah Concealed Carry

Service Description
COURSE DETAILS: This is a 3-4 hour class that meets the current requirements for obtaining a New Jersey Permit to Carry, preceeded or followed by a live ammo qualifying course of fire conducted off site. Upon completion of this course all participants will have a general understanding of firearms safety and operation, proper grip, stance, site aquisition, and trigger control as well as the requirement to successfully complete the Civilian Carry Assessment and Range Evaluation. The shooting qualification, mandated by the NJ State Police and Attorney General, involves shooting at a maximum distance of 15 yards from the holster. Participants must hit at least 40 out of 50 shots (80%) and demonstrate safety and proficiency throughout the qualification. We will also discuss New Jersey's use of force laws for private citizens, and other statutes pertaining to civilan carry. The live fire qualification will be held by appointment before or after the date of this class. Please call to schedule range time based off of your rediness to succefully complete the qualifying course of fire. WHAT TO BRING: $35 Lane Fee Your Handgun Hip holster (Inside Waist Band (IWB) (No cross-draw, shoulder holsters, or appendix/rear holsters) Additional magazines (2-4 total preferred) Minimum 100 rounds of factory-loaded ammunition Eye and ear protection Driver's License(Must be 21 years or older) NJ FID(NJ FID address MUST match your FID) ATTIRE: Loose-fitting overshirt to allow for drawing from concealment Sturdy gun belt Jeans or Tactical Pants NO sweatpants or shorts NO open-toed shoes DISCLAIMER Anubis Arms cannot be held liable or responsible for any changes that occur after you complete any training and/or qualifications used in your submission. These are the current NJ Civilian Carry Assessment and Range Evaluation (CCARE) accepted qualification requirements. This course is not recommended for beginner shooters. All participants are expected to be proficient with their firearm. A holster will be required for this course. We will be training on how to draw from a holster. The qualification is pass or fail. If you fail to qualify due to unsafe practices or poor marksmanship, you will incur a $75 fee to retake the qualification. This fee is non-refundable. You are permitted one reschedule.

Please bring a pin and paper to take notes and write down questions. This course will be approcimately 2-4hrs depending upon the size of the class and the permits you're registered for. Feel free to bring your firearm to class though it is not required. Please be aware that you're responsible for going to our website and booking your "NJ CARES Qualification", which you must complete and pass prior to applying with the state for your permit to carry a handgun. You may choose to qualify prior to, on the day of, or after the date of this class based on your availability.
